On Friday, January 24, 2025, Spring Creek Elementary was officially designated a Purple Heart School, one of only 12 in Oklahoma. Purple Heart Schools are recognized for their commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for military students and families.

On April 24, 2025, we are hosting a community ribbon cutting ceremony and open house event at Knight Ridge Elementary. We hope you will join us from 5 - 6 p.m. as we celebrate the opening of our newest school!

We were received with a friendly French welcome by the students, faculty, administration, and community of the Lycée de l'Authie in Doullens, France. 18 DCHS students and 3 faculty members attended classes in Doullens, enjoyed French school cafeteria food, lived with host families of the French students who visited Deer Creek last year, toured the Cathedral in Amiens, spent 2 days discovering WWII D-Day history in Normandy, lived daily life in France, and ate so much amazing French food!
