ParentSquare Introduction for Families

Over the summer, Deer Creek is transitioning communication platforms to ParentSquare, a platform that allows seamless two-way communication between staff, parents/guardians and students.

This will our primary district-approved communication platform for the 2025-2026 school year. Prairie Vale and Deer Creek Middle School have been piloting ParentSquare this semester, and are familiar with the platform. We've heard positive feedback and look forward to using it district-wide soon.

There is no immediate action for you needed. We will officially roll-out ParentSquare before school starts in August. However, our coaches and sponsors will begin using ParentSquare to communicate now and over the summer for those in extracurricular groups.

If you receive information from a staff member asking you to join a ParentSquare group, you may need to register your account first. To do so, please follow these steps:

• Download the ParentSquare App (available on IOS and Android) or visit parentsquare.com/signin

• Register your account. You must use your email listed as your primary contact in Infinite Campus.

• Confirm your contact and child information.

• Confirm your notification preferences.

  • Click My Account

  • Click Notification Settings

  • Determine how often you want to receive notifications. If you select digest, you will receive one email, text, or push notification a day with a list of all messages sent during that day. If you select instant, you will immediately receive each message.

• If you choose not to register or download the app, don't worry! You will still receive emails and/or texts, based on your notification settings. The default notification settings are set to email digest (one email a day with all of your information). However, if you want to determine the frequency of these notifications you will need to register your account.

Again, ParentSquare will not be used district-wide until August. We want you to have this information to prevent confusion if coaches/sponsors start communicating with you via ParentSquare between now and next school year.
